The Saturn Ion Red Line was a high-performance version of the Saturn Ion compact car that was introduced in 2004. The Red Line was powered by a 2.0-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine that produced 205 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. It was paired with a five-speed manual transmission and featured sport-tuned suspension, larger brakes, and unique exterior styling cues such as a rear spoiler and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Saturn Ion Red Line was available as a coupe or sedan and offered a more aggressive driving experience compared to the standard Ion models. It was marketed as a sporty and youthful alternative to other compact performance cars on the market.
Production of the Saturn Ion Red Line ended in 2007 when Saturn was discontinued as a brand by General Motors. The Red Line continues to have a dedicated fan base and is considered a collectible among Saturn enthusiasts.
